Where do you work? What do you do there?
I work as a letter carrier for the post office on the rural side. Pretty standard mailman stuff.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Since April 2016
What is your favorite or best movement?
Burpee. Hah, just kidding. I like performing snatches. That the most fun movement to me. I can't say exactly what I am best at, I'll leave that to the coaches.
What has been your favorite workout?
I really like the heavy Olympic lift days. First one that comes to mind is the five sets of five overhead squats as heavy as we could go.
What movement do you struggle with?
Thrusters are my kryptonite. For whatever reason my front squats tend to get really sloppy. Maybe because it's a fast movement both up and down.
What workout have you struggled the most physically?
I'd have to say the thruster again. You have to move like such a robot through the stages.
What workout have you struggled the most mentally?
Burpees. They are pretty slow when you get tired and there's a lot of time there to think about how tired you are.
Why did you decide to start CrossFit?
Impulse. Probably the best impulse decision I've made.
What is CrossFit to you?
To me it's a bit of a lifestyle. Crossfit itself as well as the coaches have inspired me to eat clean and take better care of myself. My pre-crossfit lifestyle was way different than now. All good changes. It's also the only thing I've been able to stick with more than a month. I used to get on "rolls" where I'd run everyday or something like that and I never stuck to it. I think crossfit is different because of community. For most of us fitness isn't our whole life, and we're cool with that, but we still go in with that drive to do better than yesterday and be better as a whole.
