Paleo Chili

Chili is a fluid recipe. Use this as a base, and get creative from here. If you don't like it as spicy, try green chilies instead of the jalapeños. Or add some heat with habeneros. This is also a good recipe to make in large batches and freeze. Divide into 8oz wide-mouth mason jars for easy single servings.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds ground beef, turkey, or chicken
  • 2 medium onions
  • 4 jalapenos
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 6 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 28oz can diced tomotoes
  • 28oz can crushed tomatoes

Brown the meat in a skillet on medium-high. Drain fat if necessary. Chop onions and jalapenos to desired size. Place all ingredients into crockpot and stir. Cook on low 4-6 hours.
