CrossFit is the best tool for improving the health and fitness of every single person on the planet. No matter their age, race, or gender. The foundational movements we perform deliver the best results for all people, but we don't prescribe a 200lb back squat for grandma.
We do however prescribe squatting. Learning to squat properly to a depth of the hip crease below the top of the knee will increase mobility, strength, and longevity. Full stop.
We offer a class specifically for seniors over the age of 55. We call them Legends. This class runs at a little slower pace than our regular classes and provides workouts and coaching specifically written for that group of people.
Our general group classes have more intensity and work than the Legends class. In order to give all our members the best experience we can, we make it possible for those over 55 years old to workout in our Legends class. It is also not required. If you have the desire and have the capacity to train in our general classes they are also available.
We offer our Legends class 2 days a week for a couple reasons. Firstly, the people in this class are not trying to get into the best shape of their life. They just want to stay off of as many medications as possible and stay out of the nursing home. The second is an attempt to keep the cost to something reasonable for those who live on a fixed income.
A Safe Place
We work hard to provide a safe place for people wanting to make a lasting life change. Saftey in that we won't judge you on where you're life's choices have taken you. We'll keep your confidence and honor your trust. We also care deeply about your physical saftey. Whether you're training in our gym or lifting bags of groceries out of your car we want to be able to do so in a safe manner that allows you to keep living your life.
