It’s September 2018 and I’m lined up for a race. This fun run is very different from the many past runs I’ve done. Over 2017 and most of 2018 I’ve been training to run marathon distances and farther. Those distances are all about a slower pace and managing energy. If I take off too fast at the beginning of a marathon, I will pay dearly for it by the end of the race.
“Playing with my children used to wear me out. After my third baby, I felt like I spent more time on the sidelines watching the fun instead of participating. With the endurance I am building at the gym, I am back in the game with them!”
Over the spring I moved from the across the country to Nampa. I was in search of a new gym, better yet a new community. I knew I wanted to find a place that focused on living a better life, being a better version of yourself and knew how to have fun with work-outs. After reviewing MANY websites and visiting other gyms, I had a feeling this was going to be the place I could fit into.
I was looking for a local Crossfit gym that had a “family” type atmosphere and a place where I would be pushed to work hard but also be allowed to know my limits and have coaches who genuinely care about my well being. I Loved the values and atmosphere from the minute I walked through the door for my “no sweat intro."
