"Constantly varied, functional movements, performed at a high intensity."

We want to have the broadest level of fitness available to us. This means we don’t do the same things all the time. Say good bye to legs day or bi’s and tri’s day. Say hello to, running, jumping, rowing, weightlifing, powerlifting and gymnastics.

Functional movements are the foundations of human movement; they are performed in a wave of contraction from core to extremity; and they use multiple joints together. They are natural, effective, and efficient movers of our bodies and external objects. Most important are their capacity to move large loads over long distances, and to do so quickly. It's the collection of load, distance, and speed that makes functional movements the best for a high production of power. More power means more work and that means getting fitter faster.

Intensity is power. Power can be defined as a simple math problem. If power can be defined then intensity can be defined, observed, and tracked. CrossFit workouts push the limits of intensity by pushing the limits of power your body can produce.

It is CrossFit's combination of these three elements, constant variation, functional movements, and high intensity that delivers remarkable results, and changes lives.
