Where do you work? What do you do there?
I work at Rumours Hair Design in Nampa. I own the place so I do a little of everything. :)

I work as a hairstylist 3 days a week, therefore, I'm a therapist, relationship advisor, miracle worker, confidence booster, an ear, a shoulder, a granddaughter, a daughter and a friend… When I'm not busy doing these things, I spend time taking care of the business side of things such as bookwork, banking, getting supplies, cleaning & yard work.

Owning a business is a lot of work but in the end I get to make people happy and it's all worth it

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

What is your favorite movement?
I can't pick just one.

What has been a favorite workout you've done?
I can't say that I have one specific favorite workout. I really enjoy partner WODs. I love being part of a team and working with people. When I'm on a team I push myself to be stronger and faster knowing that my teammates score is also depending on my performance.

What movement do you hate?
BOX JUMPS!!!!! I crashed on the box many of times but one time I got an injury that took a year to heal because of a vein issue I have that causes low blood circulation in my legs. I know I need to face fears and get over it but this one haunts me… ;(

What workout have you hated most?
Ones with lots of box jumps... ;) But for the most part I don't really "hate" the workouts. Hate is such a strong word. There seems to be at least one movement in every workout that's a challenge for me. I just try to do my best to get it done.

Why did you choose to start CrossFit?
I've always been skinny, ate anything & everything I wanted and never gained a pound. As I grew up I realized that being "skinny" wasn't being healthy. I didn't have any muscle tone or definition and was weak. I always said that my arms were the same size from my wrists to my shoulders…LOL I decided to change that and was constantly searching for that fun workout routine. I started with the home workout videos and a treadmill. I eventually got bored of that and was unmotivated to keep doing it. Then for a couple years I worked out at the Rec center in the weight room and in some group classes. Again, I was ready for a change. I had friends that did CrossFit and talked about how fun and challenging the workouts were, so I gave it a try. I've been doing it ever since. ;) I love the variety and the full body workout I get with every workout I do. I love having a CrossFit family and that sense of a "belonging". I enjoy being in shape and feeling good and I feel strong & powerful being able to do the CrossFit movements with heavy weights. I'm finally healthy and strong with muscle definition. I can say I'm addicted and I want more!

If someone asked you "What is CrossFit," what would you say?
Someone asked me that very question today. I said "it's a constant varying workout that provides you with everyday functional movements. It's fun."
